It's the 1976 Olympics. 14 year old Nadia Comăneci, is about to achieve the first perfect 10 in the history of her sport.  

At that time Omega - the official timer, when designing the digital scoreboard for the Olympic Games, asked the International Gymnastics Federation if the board needed to be able to post the number 10.  The officials at the IGF said, no, there’s no need; 10 is impossible. So Omega made 9.99 the highest possible number.

So when Nadia finished her uneven bar routine, the scoreboard said 1.00, a confusing score for the crowd. Until they realized...
